Comfort Suites is a wonderful place to stay while visiting South Padre Island. Though it is not a beachfront hotel, it is within walking distance of the island's sandy shores and the hotel provides a walkway to the beach. When you enter the hotel you'll notice that the staff is incredibly friendly, offering recommendations for various local restaurants and attractions. Some of the features include free breakfast, room service, and very well-maintained rooms that were spacious and cleanly.

South Padre has an excellent view of the water, especially on the ninth floor. The beach is approximately thirty yards away. The views of the sunrise and sunset on the balcony are truly breathtaking. The rooms are spacious and tidy. The rooms have two bedrooms, a kitchen, large patio, and a living room. All of the rooms are nicely furnished including convenient amenities such as a dishwasher, cable TV, patio furniture, and two queen-sized fold-out couches in the living room. It's also an excellent spot for several outdoor activities such as fishing, sailing, and windsurfing.

Palms Resort is an excellent place for those seeking to escape the hustle and bustle of the daily work life. The downstairs rooms are used more frequently, therefore it's best to stay in the upstairs rooms as these rooms do not have some of the issues that the rooms downstairs do, such as slightly dirty carpeting. Of all of the places in South Padre Island, Palms Resort is arguably one of the best as far as drinks are concerned.
